2008 ARMY/NAVY GOLF TOURNAMENT

Cost (tentative): |
$75 for Alumni Assn members, $85 for non-member
guests. Cost includes green fee, cart, dinner
and prizes.

Format: |
2-person, Captain’s Choice competition pitting Army
vs. Navy 2-somes (we will try to match similar
handicaps and ages). The winning members get a logo
golf ball from the other school (suitable for
framing!!). There will be the usual assortment of
opportunities to buy mulligans, putting string,
compete for long drive, closest to the pit, etc. |

Purpose: |
Fund
raising event for West Point Society and Greater
Washington Council of the US Naval Academy Alumni
Assn to support USAMA Cadets, and USNA Midshipmen. |

Goals/Objectives: |
1.
We need early sign up of 36-40 Navy participants to
round out the field against the Woops. The last two
years have been woeful in Navy participation.
2. We need to line up
individual or corporate sponsorships to help in fund
raising. Costs are: Friend - $500, Sponsor - $250,
Co-Sponsor - $100. Any ideas, recommendations,
strong arming is greatly appreciated.
3. Bonding, networking,
and fun in the name of a good cause – and one
more chance to rag on them about Army football.
