The USNA Alumni Association

The USNA Alumni Association - Greater Washington Chapter Facebook and LinkedIn groups have been created!!!

1. Facebook (www.facebook.com) - For those of you new to this site, joining Facebook is an outstanding way to stay connected with friends and family. Its focus is on personal social networking. It is not just for 20 somethings anymore. USNA graduates from the 1970s and 1980s have already joined. It is also FREE!!!

For those of you already with an account, you can search for it ("USNA Alumni Association - Greater Washington Chapter") in the "Groups" tab. Once you have found it, just submit a request to join.

For those of you that have yet to join Facebook, it's very simple, and quick. Go to www.facebook.com, and follow the steps for registering. One of the best ways to ensure that Facebook is a safe and clean place to display information or photos is to edit your "privacy' settings". We recommend setting all your privacy levels (info, pictures, video, etc) to "My Friends Only."

2. LinkedIn (www.linkedin.com) - For those of you new to this site, joining LinkedIn is an outstanding way to maintain and build your professional network. You can also establish your own, controlled internet presence by displaying the professional and personal information that you desire. Like Facebook, it is FREE to join.

For those of you already with an account, simply select "search groups" and enter "USNA Alumni Association - Greater Washington Chapter" in the search box. Once there, just submit a request to join.

For those of you that have yet to join LinkedIn, it's very simple, and quick. Go to www.linkedin.com, and follow the steps for registering. One of the best ways to ensure that LinkedIn is a safe and clean place to display information or photos is to edit your "public profile" settings. Simply go to "edit my profile" and follow the link to "edit public profile settings". You will have a number of options concerning which information you want to share.
